Our BIOPERL® range is designed for the waterproofing and protection of both the interior and the exterior components of wastewater treatment plants and of seawater desalination plants (digesters, clarifiers, settling tanks, filters, thickeners, flocculation tanks, storage tanks, manholes, pits, gutters, channels, catch basins, …) as well as of the interior of large-diameter pipes, in new-build and rehabilitation projects.

Their chemical formulation makes it possible to withstand gases (H2S, methane) and aggressive liquids (seawater, brackish water, industrial water), thus significantly increasing the useful life of protected structures and their performance (digesters for example).
Epoxy resin / glass fabric multi-layer lamination gives the system resistance to existing and future cracking in a concrete substrate of up to 20/10ths of a mm.

Since 1990, BIOPERL® waterproofing and protective coatings have been applied in various structures of the largest domestic wastewater treatment plant in the world, the SIAAP in Achères, for both new construction and rehabilitation, on concrete and steel substrates.
More than 200,000 m² of surfaces were coated in total: protection of the undersides of the digester domes against premature corrosion, waterproofing of tanks, basins, collectors and other structures, thus contributing to the protection of the environment.

Seawater desalination plant waterproofing: floors, walls, columns and underside of slab coating
The work consisted of installing the BIOPERL® waterproofing system composed of a glass fabric impregnated and saturated with resin and applying the BIOPERL® epoxy finish
Our coatings are resistant to chlorides, sulfates, magnesium, calcium, but also to potassium ions and bicarbonates which buffer the excess acidity of sea water. They allow floor, walls, columns and underside of the pool slab’ waterproofing and protection.
