Designed for the waterproofing and protection of storage facilities of all types of hydrocarbons :
- Oil tanks (refineries , civilian and military storage depots, oil rigs, civilian and military airports, …)
- Onshore LNG storage tanks as well as underground gas-station tanks.
Used in both new-build and rehabilitation projects.
PETROPERL® is designed to provide long-term protection against corrosion of mainly steel tanks
and reservoirs, but applies also to concrete storage.
It is compatible with all grades of petrol, including Jet Fuel, except ethanol-containing.
In this last case, NAPHTOPERL® or CARBOPERL® must be used.
GAZOPERL® serves as a vapor-barrier system on concrete onshore LNG storage facilities.
Generally, these systems are applied as single-layer anti-corrosion systems on steel that has been blasted to the proper roughness and primed, but they are also applied as multi-layer, glass-fiber-reinforced systems where excessive corrosion of the steel has occurred.
Combined with a honeycomb glass layer (called « 3D »), they are also used in leak-detecting waterproofing systems, in accordance with current European legislation on the waterproofing of buried, hydrocarbon storage facilities.
